All members and full-time employees of ILA Local 1233, ILA Local 2049, Local 1233 Federal Credit Union and their immediate families (i.e. wife, husband, mother, father, sister, brother, child, grandchild) are eligible to join Local 1233 Federal Credit Union.
All new members must provide proof of residency, social security number, and two picture identifications. (i.e. driver’s license, TWIC and/or waterfront ID).
Any member joining a family member in the credit union must provide proof of relationship. (i.e. birth certificate, marriage license, adoption papers etc.).
All members are required to sign a payroll authorization form with the Credit Union for their employer to establish regular payroll deposits into their share account. All changes to payroll deduction must be made through the Local 1233 Federal Credit Union.
Withdrawal request are made on a daily basis. Emergencies must be clearly stated at the time of request.
Any member with fifteen (15) or more withdrawals within a one (1) year period (January thru December) will be charged a fee of $25 per withdrawal thereafter until the end of that one (1) year period.
If a member has a loan, your payroll deductions must be enough to cover your monthly loan payments.
All share withdrawals are subject to the Board of Directors approval.
Transactions can only be made by the member of the share account. A spouse is not authorized access to a member’s account unless it is a joint account at the time the account was opened. A spouse cannot be added on the account at a later date.
All share accounts require a minimum of Fifty dollars ($50.00) in the account at all times.
All dormant accounts, over (3) years of no transactions, will be escheated to the State of New Jersey.
To open an account, you must have a minimum amount of thirty dollars ($30.00). The joining fee is twenty-five dollars ($25.00), which includes the share deposit of five dollars ($5.00).
To open an account for minors under age 13, you must have a minimum amount of fifteen dollars($15.00), which includes the joining fee of ten dollars ($10.00) and the share deposit of five dollars ($5.00).
To join the credit union, you must purchase a five dollar ($5.00) share.
